Since the article for Lavay Smith and the Red Hot Skillet Lickers was folded into the article for Lavay Smith, this article is the only location for listing the band members and their accomplishments.
I understand the editor's desire to remove uncited references. However, an alternative is to clean up the band section and find the appropriate references.
If there is a need for a reduced section, let's discuss it here before we butcher the article. At least three editors have shown an interest in keeping the band member section vs. one editor who wishes to pare down the section.
I have tried to edit the section to deal with his/her concern that some of the band members are dead, and I provided a reference source to deal with his/her issue of lack of citation.
Now I want to open dialog before we move into an editing war. Please discuss what issues need to be dealt with, and which issues are just style/personal choice. Also, I wish to suggest looking up citations and sources on the internet and referencing them, so the article improves and grows, rather than just trimming the article.
