Ive never edited a wikipedia post and dont want to mess it up, but the Sussex EUS study revealed that the lambeth group also lies under the south west suburbs of Newhaven, I quote: "The uppermost solid geology of south-west part of Newhaven Fort and, outside the EUS study area, the western suburbs of the town (Northdown Road and Tideway School), however, is the sandstone and mudstone (commonly clay) of the Lambeth Group, being Tertiary (Palaeocene) irregular beds laid down on the eroded chalk." The article links to the Hampshire Basin, which covers part of Sussex. It would be helpful if an editor expanded on the area of the Lambeth Group, but not just mention Newhaven. Dudley Miles (talk) 11:03, 20 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
