Please add information to my biography

[edit]

Based on what I have seen written about me in a manuscript I reviewed for Science magazine, below are additions to my biography that better highlight my contributions to the field. Thank you very much for taking the time.

Career:

- please delete the word "some" on line 2. I find the word vague and usually avoid it.

Research:

- paragraph 3, please add the following sentences in the middle, between the two existing sentences ending with "to turn on." and "The mechanism..."

"He discovered that the basis for pioneering is the ability of certain transcription factors to target DNA sites on nucleosomes, which are the primary means of packaging DNA in chromosomes (new ref. 15). Zaret's team found that FoxA and GATA transcription factors occupy silent gene sites in undifferentiated embryonic cells, helping to impart the competence to activate tissue-specific genes and initiate tissue development (new refs 16, 17)."

new ref. 15:

Cirillo, Lisa A.; McPherson, Clifton E.; Bossard, Pascale; Stevens, Kimberly; Cherian, Sindhu; Shim, Eun-Yong; Clark, Kirk L.; Burley, Stephen K.; Zaret, Kenneth S. (January 2, 1998). "Binding of the winged-helix transcription factor HNF3 to a linker histone site on the nucleosome" EMBO Journal 17: 244-254. PMID 9427758 DOI: 10.1093/emboj/17.1.244

new ref. 16:

new ref. 17:
