There are many errors in this story. It appears to be a summary from Okello's book without other references. For example: 'The prime minister and other ministers also managed to escape.' Prime Minister Shamte and his cabinet did not escape. They were arrested, detained for months and then sent to Tanzanzia for imprisonment. Some stayed in prison for 10 years. They were never charged.
