Somebody improved a link (https://web.archive.org/web/20110719061300/http://www.metzger-riehn.de:80/kt/) under Bibliographies and wrote in the page: "(Obsolete link replaced with hopefully last relevant web archive. Not looked for better alternative. Not corrected inaccurate description. Needs fix. I dont speak German.)" This appears also in the history of the page (11-7-2018 10:40‎ from IP 1.136.107.228). (1) Consistency: The prevailing standard convention is to omit the patronymic for Russian and Soviet academics; see Lev Vygotsky, Evgeny Pashukanis, Mikhail Bakhtin, etc.; (2/5) Concision & Precision: "Isaak Rubin" is adequate to identify the subject, and there is no need for disambiguation here; (3/4) Recognizability & Naturalness: While translated texts frequently credit him by his initials (I. I. Rubin), standard English-language prose and general readers naturally default to Firstname Lastname.
