The article does not explain what the controversy was about. Obviously, I am not familiar with the Beaconite Controversy, but it seems to have been about the Inner Light, and something called Justification by Faith. Am unclear about the 1830 date at end of the article; best guess is it is a typo as 1830 while Crewdson was a minister in good standing, and several years before the "Beacon" was written. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2026-24789-83 (talk) 02:06, 23 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
