Innherred or Innherad

Any reason this article is placed at the archaic spelling "Innherad"? Although I have come across such a spelling, it is almost exclusively known as Innherred, which is also what it would be called orally. To use things that take its name from the district, there is Innherred Sykehus (since renamed to Sykehuset Levanger), Innherredsferja, Innherred Produkter, Innherred Renovasjon, Innherred samkommune Sør-Innherred prosti and Nord-Innherred prosti.
