  • Comment: Some notes on the hooks: ALT0 is my personal favorite; ALT4 would make a good quirky hook (additionally, I do realize it's a rather simple hook, but that's very much intentional since not many famous composers were alive when the Grammy's existed).
    Additionally, I'd like if it could be featured on May 29. OTD is also featuring the same photo of Stravinsky, so I thought it'd be amusing to have the photo for DYK and OTD be the same. If this against a policy, there's no need for a special occasion. Thanks!

There is no mention in this article of the following, which is of great importance:

1 Why Stravinsky did not return to Russia (Soviet Union) after the First World War 2 How his music was received in Soviet Russia 3 His visit to Russia late in life 4 How his music is seen in Russia today. ~2026-21300-56 (talk) 13:56, 13 April 2026 (UTC)

(1) After the war, he sought to be closer to centres of European music - see the beginning of the France section.

(2) "After the success of The Firebird and The Rite of Spring in the 1910s, his music was respected and frequently performed in the Soviet Union, influencing young Soviet composers at the time like Shostakovich. However, after Stalin began consolidating power in the early 1930s, Stravinsky's music nearly vanished and was formally banned in 1948."

(3) "his three-week visit in 1962, during which he met with Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev and several leading Soviet composers, including Shostakovich and Khachaturian"
