I was prompted to open this discussion thread by this edit by editor User:Kirks1963. Looking at FreeBMD there are no 1963 Kirkham births registered in Preston. But there is this one for the second quarter of 1963 in Newton, Lancashire. The current first source, which is Ian's own website here, clearly says "Ian was born on 9th March '63 in Liverpool, England". The current second source is The Rolling Stone Encyclopedia of Rock and Roll – 3rd Edition, which may be wrong. So I think it needs to be corrected. Note: in 1963 Liverpool was still in Lancashire.
