Update Article: Hydrazone
[edit]The existing article on hydrazone only introduces the hydrazone core as a class of chemical compounds and very vaguely describes its significance in practical applications, with more focus on its use in synthetic organic chemistry. It doesn’t clearly highlight the how there exist many different classes of hydrazones, each one of them exhibiting a range of different properties which makes it an important core in terms of supramolecular chemistry. Especially, there is no mention of E/Z isomerization along the C=N which is a very important feature of the hydrazone core that makes it an extremely well explored motif for its potential application in research and development. It also doesn’t really highlight the ease of synthesis of this core which has led to its extreme exploitation in in the design of a series of different biologically active compounds. Although the article does talk about the use of hydrazones in drug delivery, yet it does not provide enough citations to the works which explicitly highlight the importance of hydrazone core for drug delivery. In general, it also relies too heavily on primary sources and there are a few facts which demands proper citations. Here is a list of bibliography that I am planning to use in order to improve the current article:
