Image:High Point Seal.jpg is being used on this article. Notable residents?

I'd like to add NBC newscaster Roy Neal to this article, as he died in High Point. However, there's no evidence that he was born there, so he doesn't belong in the "Notable Natives" section. Maybe this could be transformed into "Notable Residents?" Any other suggestions? ---Julian (talk) 21:14, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

History Section

How is it that HPU gets a full paragraph in the city history section? This doesn't seem balanced. Lontjr (talk) 11:29, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

In 2025, DOGE canceled a $350,000 grant to replace the museum's HVAC system after ChatGPT had flagged it as DEI.

This article currently has 10,000 pageviews, the most in its history (usually only around 200), due to this story being widely covered by the national news. This is probably the only time in this city's history that it has been in the national spotlight, and a one-sentence mention is obviously WP:DUE.

Moreover, I find it disturbing how your edits consist almost entirely of reverting others, and that you use notability guidelines to justify them, despite said guidelines explicitly not concerning article content. ເສລີພາບ (talk) 22:34, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
