I would like to receive feedback from those who previously participated in the AFD discussion to see if consensus has changed, so I'm pinging all such participants. If I've missed anyone, please feel free to ping them also. ―Howard • 🌽33 15:25, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- No SIGCOV from reliable news sources. Well, that isn't ready to be remade into article yet. Ahri Boy (talk) 16:08, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- Does the CJR article not count? ―Howard • 🌽33 16:10, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- it does. but we want at least 2, and hopefully 3 sources like that.
I'll take a look at this later to confirm Bluethricecreamman (talk) 16:12, 17 September 2025 (UTC)- Bram 2024 seems fine, though i dont think we need to have two dupe citations for it. Bluethricecreamman (talk) 14:59, 18 September 2025 (UTC)

- agreed. see WP:ROUTINE and Wikipedia:DEPENDENTCOVERAGE.many of the sourcing seems to mention in passing ground news. There are some interviews, which by Wikipedia:Interviews really does not meet secondary. Bluethricecreamman (talk) 16:11, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- The references look improved from the last attempt but I'm concerned about the WP:ROUTINE objections raised above. Can you please point to independent WP:SIGCOV? Simonm223 (talk) 16:54, 17 September 2025 (UTC)

- still needs a few more sources, WP:NCORP still isn't met, but just by a hair
- if we can get another sources like the CJR article, i'd say it's notable *enough* to have an article DarmaniLink (talk) 17:50, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- I had thought the CJR article itself would've brought it over the bar of notability. As it stands, the independent sources which make more than a passing mention of Ground News that are cited in the article are:
- Review by College & Research Libraries News
- CJR analysis
- Bram 2024 study
- The rest are passing mentions but provide some useful facts for citation. If these are not enough, then I will retry to find further sources. ―Howard • 🌽33 21:02, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- more sources are always better and in my opinion just one or two more articles where it is the primary focus, enough for it to be an enyclopedic entry about the site, would make me say its ready DarmaniLink (talk) 23:49, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
- I think it meets the bar, but just barely; if you can find more sources that would be amazing :) – Closed Limelike Curves (talk) 02:11, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- meets the bar for me, now that i looked more closely at it.personally, would like to trim some of the studies that do only a passing reference to ground news, and keep it focused. Bluethricecreamman (talk) 14:59, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- i'm looking at from the perspective of "would it survive if it was nominated for deletion again?"
- I think without one or two more sources, it wouldn't, but just independently as an article, i would say it's *just* over the line DarmaniLink (talk) 17:56, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- Since @Shocksingularity has unilaterally accepted the draft and moved it into mainspace the opposers will have to consider re-nominating the article for deletion. ―Howard • 🌽33 18:44, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- I accepted it because it follows WP:GNG, with multiple non trivial mentions in reliable sources. Shocksingularity (talk) 22:25, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- I think id vote to keep if this were nominated again Bluethricecreamman (talk) 00:06, 19 September 2025 (UTC)

[edit]- Acc to cjr: " It aggregates articles from more than forty thousand free and subscription outlets, then uses AI to publish a daily average of about thirty thousand summaries of news events from these articles. ". AI use is not mentioned in the article. It's important, because in contrast, AllSides' (competitor) aggregates are is written by human acc to the same source.
