I've stuffed up and would like to replace this 'George snowden' page with either ' "Shorty" George Snowden" or "George Snowden" PlainJane 09:04, 26 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Done! I changed it to "George Snowden" because I thought that it would make the article easier to find than "'Shorty' George Snowden". However, we probably do need a redirect on that article title. --Cswrye 18:41, 26 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Naming of the Lindy Hop

A newspaper article in the New York World dated June 20, 1928 refers to Snowden and Parnell performing a "new dance called the 'Lindberg Hop.'"^[1] Therefore, the assertion in the current article that "The term ‘Lindy Hop’ in connection with Snowden and Purnell’s invention was used for the first time in public in September 1928," is misleading.
