Diagram of Al-Biruni’s method, involving geometry and surveying, for determining Earth’s radius using the height of a mountain and the dip angle to the horizon. This early application of trigonometry and algebra to geophysical measurement is a foundational example of geomathematics.

Hi everyone.
I noticed that this article did not have a lead image, so I added a diagram of Al-Biruni's geometric method for determining the Earth’s radius.

If anyone has concerns or would prefer a different illustration, I’m happy to adjust or improve the choice.
