Suggestion to adding imagery examples

Hello, folks. Just created a new account. I'm not familiar with how edits/review works, but if anyone mind, can we have an example section, showcasing how Gaussian Splatting works visually? Yes, I just watched recent Corridor Digital YT vid where Sam used the splatting to work on his SCP liminal vid shorts. Method section is paraphrase of one paper

Needs an overview

This article is pretty technical, and I don't object to that - but it could REALLY use a high-level non-technical summary of WHY gaussian is interesting. Is it lower encoding CPU? Better compression? I completely agree. I build 3D simulations, I have read a book on linear algebra and I have no idea what this article is saying. Something more like this examples section from Byte-pair encodings would be great. I think adding some links to different topics could be useful so I'll try that first e.g. I hope the following might have pages:
  • rasterization-based technique
  • real-time radiance fields
  • method represents scenes with 3D Gaussians
  • [that retain properties of] continuous volumetric radiance fields -- so what?
etc.
