I accidentally hit enter too early when writing an edit summary for why Highliners are Gallery Cars. My rationale is that the manufacturer's website says they are a "Gallery Type Bi-Level EMU" Gamingcanary (talk) 01:43, 5 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

I do think there's goood evidence for the case that they are not gallery cars, including the Highliner article here that says they are not gallery cars. TurquoiseGoose (talk) 02:41, 5 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I have no idea why the Highliner article is written like that. You can use the evidence of your eyes and ears (or this video) to confirm that there is, in fact, a dropdown in the middle of the top floor. Gamingcanary (talk) 05:05, 5 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
They are not gallery cars. Highliners do not function and look like gallery cars on the inside as they do not have the low‑level trapdoors or steps, open mezzanine walkways for conductors, and the classic “gallery” circulation pattern. Instead, the upper level is full width and there is no drop down in the middle. ~2026-26650-72 (talk) 21:19, 5 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Do you have evidence for this claim? I have posted evidence that you're wrong. Gamingcanary (talk) 22:50, 5 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Highliner interior

[edit]

After I read "the Highliners have a full-width upper level" on this article, I Googled "metra highliner interior" and I expected a full-width upper deck, but instead, the images I found was a gallery-style layout similar to the locomotive-hauled gallery cars. Does this article need fixing or am I just hallucinating? Aitraintheeditorandgamer (talk) 00:45, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

You're right, it's false info. I just fixed it. Gamingcanary (talk) 01:12, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
