Hi, I have never heard of lung pieces actually used lung...

The meaning I heard from experts is Fei (means waste parts or perhaps offal) is true meaning. The lung could be a part of this offal...but fei is not lung by itself in this dish's meaning (rather unwanted cuts of meat)...  Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.169.138.43 (talk) 20:00, 28 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Experts told me the name means sliced lung even though lung is never really used. Several dictionaries define fei4/肺 just one way, as lungs. Perhaps the mischievous children were making a joke? Colin McLarty (talk) 07:34, 3 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
