[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... it states facts about when the band formed and their tours and releases with all information backed up with links proving this--Formerutopia (talk) 21:57, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... I'd like to contest this as Former Utopia have played over 100 concerts and toured the UK twice,Italy & Europe once and have had radio play on BBC 6 Music on Gideon Coes, Tom Ravenscrofts and Tom Robinsons shows plus XFM, BCB, Castle FM, WFMU (US), Trashflow (US) and got reviews in Gaffa, 2voor12, damusic, the line of best fit, the leicester mercury-which are big publications. The band is signed to the 7 year old indie label 'Damnably records' which has a roster containing: Shonen Knife, Wussy, Geoff Farina, Chris Brokaw, Joel R L Phelps, smallgang, American Werewolf Academy, Bored Spies and a tour booking roster of Dick Dale, Codeine, COME, Bitch Magnet and others. Damnably is distributed worldwide and it's releases recieved press in Mojo, Uncut, Sunday Times, Guardian, Q etc. I've seen a lot of acts with much less in the way of reviews or gigs/radio play with huge pages on wikipedia?
