So what the heck is it?

[edit]

The article completely fails to explain what an EF is. 73.71.251.64 (talk) 22:15, 1 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Basically a tax-advantaged partnership that you can buy into in exchange for a contribution of public securities. For example, you can put in MSFT shares and take out shares in the Russell 2000. This without getting taxed for selling your MSFT.
In order to not be classified as an investment company, the government requires that at least 20% of the partnership's assets are held in an illiquid class, like real estate. So you're really getting diversity + management risk in exchange for your concentration risk. MacarioTala (talk) 18:51, 7 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

The sections on Cache are adverts

[edit]

The citations talking about Cache are lifted entirely from that company's website. This is a clear attempt to funnel traffic over there and give it legitimacy. The paragraphs are also separate, which has to be some type of dark design pattern. I vote to remove those. MacarioTala (talk) 18:46, 7 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
