Evolutionary invasion analysis, adaptive dynamics and evolutionary dynamics

[edit]

In order to improve this article, the overlap with adaptive dynamics and evolutionary dynamics should be clarified. At present there is a redirect from adaptive dynamics to this article. I have removed the "synonymous with adaptive dynamics" that was present in the lead section because I have found publications on adaptive dynamics that do not start the converse. Because I have only just started making changes you will not see many additional citations. I have also seen many sections that started with a statement about adaptive dynamics, I have changed these to make them appear more consistent with the article title. It is my understanding that a lot more needs to be done, to this article as well as to the article on evolutionary dynamics and to an article on adaptive dynamics once it is no longer a redirect to this article. Wikipedia Wikiprojects that this article is relevant to

[edit]

This article describes a means of bringing together population dynamics from ecology with the invasion of rare mutants in a frequent-dependent manner from game theory. I suggest that it is of interest to the Ecology WikiProject and to the Game theory WikiProject and propose to add these to the Wikipedia project banner at the top of this talk page.Worramlaup21 (talk) 15:44, 12 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

I have added links to the Wikiprojects given above to the Wikipedia project banner, as suggested. Since the Evolutionary biology WikiProject showed a Low level of importance, I have added that for these two WikiProjects. If you would like to suggest or make any changes, please get in touch.Worramlaup21 (talk) 16:00, 12 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
