Definition is overly broad and is based on old sources. Is also contradictory with "feedback inhibition" in MOA section (lede asks for protein, feedback bullet point specifies product). Has attempted to find a newer definition with clearer boundaries, but failed to do so using web search.

Closest well-defined concept: enzyme repression (Q71159528), https://goldbook.iupac.org/terms/view/E02158. The issue is that it is wholly unclear whether the "enzyme repressor" includes the corepressor and/or the (apo)repressor protein.
