Article should explain his resignation as Lt Governor. As I recall he was convicted of perjury, and was legally required to resign when sentenced. The perjury conviction was overturned, because the committee he had sworn an oath to and then lied to had not legally been in session because only one committee member was present.Randall BartTalk23:29, 19 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

An edit was made recently purporting to summarise how (in specific terms) the subject had perjured himself. The information in question was (according to the edit summary) provided by someone claiming to have been in the subject's employ at the time. I reverted the edit as openly confirmed original research. I have little doubt that the information provided was accurate, but we still need a reliable source to verify the claim, especially as this is a biography of a living person. I have not yet been able to find a source but I would encourage those with a better understanding of the subject to do what they can to find one. Although Reinecke served in the Navy during World War II, there are no reliable sources found as of yet state that he was in a war zone during the war. More specifically, the sources do not establish defining role in World War II. Accordingly, "Category:United States navy personnel of World War II" was removed until a defining role is established.
