[edit]

User Johnson524 has issued a copyright concern on the English Translation subsection of this article. However, the similarity between this page and the referenced article is the English translation of the ancient artifact. This is not actually a copyright issue as there is no original writing copied. The copyright concern should be removed. Cerebrality (talk) 04:36, 30 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Cerebrality: The section in question was a word-for-word copy of a translation which comprised of nearly half the article, which I additionally believe does not add any value to it. For reference, the Code of Hammurabi article does paste the entire code on the page, but only quotes parts of it and uses that for analysis. While reviewing your page, the analysis and history of the edict you wrote was both written and formatted quite well and I've approved the page as such, but the 10,000+ byte translation without any analysis would be better suited for Wikisource rather than here. Ok. Then I will only quote parts of the Edict. Cerebrality (talk) 04:56, 30 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
