Primary Source Basis for definition claims

[edit]

The article sources non-Hindu, non-Dharmic, non primary sources to claim Diwali which celebrates return of Sri Rama to Ayodhya is “good over evil, knowledge over ignorance” extremely vague usage of terms without the qualifier “Dharmic notion”. 2600:1009:B185:6F92:C9D1:E25:E580:98C1 (talk) 02:25, 1 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

please correct the IPA (international phonetic alphabet) notation for "diwali"

[edit]

The IPA for this article uses the letter "w", which in the international phonetic alphabet stands for the sound in the English word "well". My understanding is the word is pronounced "dee-VAHL-ee, so the IPA letter should be "v". 66.65.179.12 (talk) 21:40, 12 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect info on Rama and Sita celebrating Diwali

[edit]

Diwali was not celebrated for return of Sri Rama to Ayodhya. It is celebrated for Krishna killing demon Narakasoora and thus Good over Evil. ~2025-32055-83 (talk) 00:31, 8 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
