Product Section Updates

Could this recent update be added under Products? I have a COI COI with the page topic but have never posted on Wiki before. Is this the best place to post a change or do I need to request this change somewhere elsewhere?

In June 2026, Databricks released Omnigent, which it called an open source meta-harness for AI agents, like Anthropic's Claude Code and OpenAI's Codex, which are classified as harnesses, or the wrapper that turns AI models into agents.(1) Omnigent is a common interface layer above command-line agents that allows users to build, control and collaborate on AI agents across models.(1)

@LizDIH: Can you attempt to generate citations for these URLs in Wikimedia markup? Also, can you go through your proposed text and make wikilinks to other Wikipedia articles for the concepts which need explanation, and have Wikipedia articles?

General Question: I'd like to share page reorg suggestions and plan to post as a separate request. Is there a process or structure I need to follow when suggesting? Here are some examples so you get an idea:

• Collaborations lives under Revenue, but I think it would make more sense as a sub-header under History?

@Alice Inkhouse: Thanks for posting. If you want to propose alternative drafts, you can build and demo those in your WP:Sandbox, then link to those from here.

Can you give a go at changing your citations here to be more than bare URLs? See WP:CITE / Help:Citation tools for guidance. You should be able to find a tool to populate these and it is a basic wiki skill that will help you make requests.

If you do not format your citations, then someone else has to do it, and that delays a response.

While you are here, can you provide open copyright licenses to any infographics or media or screenshots which explain or illustrate databricks? A few images are often very helpful in explaining topics like this one. Thanks. Bluerasberry (talk) 19:33, 3 August 2026 (UTC)

@Bluerasberry: Thanks for getting back to me so quickly and for additional suggestions. I have a few questions. When my sandbox reorg is ready for review, would I just post a new request on this page or add it as another comment to this topic? For the media uploads, are those something I add to wiki media and link here as well when ready or is there another process?

Could you let me know if this is better for citations?

@Alice Inkhouse: Are you able to see a lot of red error messages here? If you need help tell me what kind of device you are using and I can send you to the right tutorial. The end result should be nicely formatted citations. The easiest way to get there is using the citation generation interface in whatever tool you are using. Drafting this in your sandbox is likely to be the easier way, as depending on different factors, you may be seeing a different editing interface on this talk page versus the editorial space like your sandbox. Late to the party here but I can help too. The first set of edits look pretty straightforward. Let me look at other pages for changing the pronoun "It" to "The company."

I will start on page reorg in sandbox soon. @FeldBum: wanted to see if recent news could be added to what was just added in the following sections (new updates bolded).

Funding: In July 2026, Coatue Management led a funding round for a $3 billion investment in Databricks, making the company's overall valuation $188 billion. In August 2026, the funding round closed at $5 billion, with a $190 billion post-money valuation and $7 billion revenue run-rate. In addition to Coatue Management, Blackstone Inc., MGX, T. Rowe Price, and Sixth Street Growth were investors in the round.

Acquisitions: In August 2026, Databricks acquired Electric, a data synchronization firm, to extend its Postgres capabilities and support the expansion of the Lakebase infrastructure.
