| The content of Anti-tail was merged into Comet tail on 27 Jul 2025. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists. For the discussion at that location, see its talk page. |
Incorporation into main article?
[edit]The article is not substantial in length, wouldn't it make sense to incorporate it into the main article on comets? --Geowissenschaftlerin (talk) 12:55, 14 August 2019 (UTC)
- With the discovery of the first real anti-tail now on 3I/Atlas it's definitely worth to keep this separate page. All the other anti-tails observed before on other comets are considered to be perspective effects of particles left in previous orbits of the same comet. Though alternative comet models exists which predicted real anti-tails already in the 1980s. Isenberg (talk) 19:26, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
