Wireless charger

[edit]

It seems that Wireless charging station redirects here. I suppose it would be nice to charge cars that way, but as well as I know it isn't being done now. I was looking for the article for charging stands like for cell phones or other portable devices. Gah4 (talk) 16:17, 25 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Missing info on battery-powered portable DC fast-chargers

[edit]

The article is missing info on battery-powered portable DC fast chargers. I've searched the rest of Wikipedia and don't find the topic covered in any other article either.

As of early 2025, the trailerable units by "Sparkcharge" (with 300-500 kWh solutions) and "Charge Rigs" (out of Florida, with 120 to 300 kWh solutions) are starting to show up at EV racetracks where insufficient charge infrastructure is present to conduct racing events, and also provide company-specific fleet charging solutions quickly, without the usual months of permiting/build cycle. I'm sure there are other vendors coming to the space. But the point is that these sort of non-fixed-location charging solutions are new, and not currently explicated in Wikipedia.

It's on my list to work on in the coming months. But happy to have other editors help improve this missing info. N2e (talk) 02:12, 5 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
