why "casein paint" and "milk paint" are two different articles ?

[edit]

can't the two pages just be joined or become a paragraph of a single page? Even in the "casein" article there are little bits of content about casein paints, I mean why the same topic, with literally the same chemistry, is just scattered in little pieces over 3 whole articles ? just make one and put an hyperlink when necessary in the "casein" article DexterH324 (talk) 16:55, 22 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

I will be blunt, what I am asking is: can some admin editor with the right privileges just delete one of the two articles and merge their content to avoid anything to go missing ? is my idea good or I am missing something ? Are these things just different stuff, explained so bad that, to me, they look like the same exact topic ? DexterH324 (talk) 17:01, 22 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
I second this Idea. Both refer to the same thing: Paint with Casein as a binding agent. I also think that the Milk paint article is the one that should be merged into this one, as it is shorter and not as well-structured. Secondly, the Milk paint article is written like a marketing blurb: I have almost exclusively heard of Milk paint as the marketing name for casein paint when companies want to highlight its more environmentally friendly properties compared to acrylics, and this is how the competing article is written.
