DOB
[edit]There's birth certificate to his name that I was able to find through his Unique Population Registry Code (CURP), which is (Redacted), that shows he was born on 9 April 1985. You can search it manually using the CURP database website. How should we proceed changing the DOB to reflect this date? This shows a birth certificate which is ultimately the best vital record to prove his DOB. Morogris (✉ • ✎) 02:10, 4 November 2025 (UTC)
- The "other" congressional website (SITL, not SIL) also gives 9 April.[1] Wouldn't be the first time the poor data-entry clerk at Gobernación got something wrong. So, between CURP, SITL and the Facebook esquela, I'm leaning heavily towards April. It'd still have to be footnoted, but it looks like we can take a stronger position. - Thanks for the clarification. I'm assuming that "
public records
" doesn't apply to the SIL/SITL databases of public servants in their official capacities. Are you happy with the wording as it currently stands? Moscow Mule (talk) 23:18, 4 November 2025 (UTC)- SIL would fall into "or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object to the details being made public" Tbhotch™ (CC BY-SA 4.0) 02:33, 11 November 2025 (UTC)

Image?
[edit]Now that the subject is deceased, would it be possible to add an image of him under fair-use? I usually add them for deceased individuals but given how recent Manzo died, I'm unsure if it's okay to proceed. Morogris (✉ • ✎) 05:31, 4 November 2025 (UTC)
- I've not done it myself, but Baek Se-hee got a social media photograph uploaded under fair use within 48 hours of her passing, and no one said anything. Moscow Mule (talk) 23:18, 4 November 2025 (UTC)

GAN
[edit]@Moscow Mule: Thank you for your work in the article. I've been thinking of nominating it for good article. Since you are a main author, I'd like to know your opinion on the article and the respective nomination before proceeding with it. Tbhotch™ (CC BY-SA 4.0) 01:09, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- I'm not sure just how "good" an article has to be to make GA, but go for it if you think it has a chance. One thing it could perhaps use is a paragraph on the "hat movement": I was skirting around that topic, because there isn't much reliable information out there, but I did find some to include in Lupita Arias's article. And I'll try and find a minute to give this article (which has grown significantly since I last edited it) a read-through, too. Some of the immediate coverage was a bit too "breaking" and could perhaps be dialled down with the perspective of a couple of weeks' distance. Moscow Mule (talk) 13:09, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
