@Asarlaí I reverted part of your edit which you have readded. My message explained my reasoning which you have ignored.
You added;

None of the sources linked say this. Some politicians are quoted as saying there was sectarian and racist abuse which if we include needs to be quoted. I don't know where misogynistic is coming from as that's not present in any of the three sources linked.
I also don't understand why you want to remove the fact the Parades Commission approved both demonstrations.

You could have simply changed that to a quote if you preferred. Why did you delete it altogether?
Also, why did you delete the part where she called the protest dignified? And the part where she said she prevented a bloodbath?
It was the "sectarian, racist, misogynistic and other abuse" I took issue with which I specified in the second part of my comment, I assumed this was obvious considering it's clearly the more contentious part of the sentence.
On misogynistic abuse, I missed this one as you can see in the article they've misspelled it as "mysoginistic" so it didn't show up when I searched - although that does make me question the validity of the source.
On racist and sectarian abuse - these are unsourced and are clearly contentious as I stated which is why I removed them. It's not simply my preference to add quotations - it's my preference to not add unsourced material on a contentious topic.
I've re-added the content but changed the wording so that the accusation of "shouting abuse" is attributed to "the IPSC, local politicians and the media". I hope this resolves the issue. – Asarlaí(talk)10:16, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
