Pantropiko's peak chart position

[edit]

Pantropiko peaked at first position on Billboard's Philippines Songs chart on April 27, 2024, but later peaked at fourth position on Billboard Philippines' re-established Hot 100 chart on July 6, 2025.

In the PHL column of SB19's discography, peak positions for their singles in 2022–2024 were based on Billboard's Philippines Songs, and used the Philippines Hot 100 by Billboard Philippines for the other singles' positions in 2024–present. Should we also consider using the song's position as 1st on Philippines Songs for the PHL column in Singles section, similar to this? AstrooKai (Talk) 11:00, 13 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

This goes the same for "Salamin, Salamin", where it topped (1st) the Philippines Songs chart on June 8, 2024, but the article only reflects the peak position of 2nd on the re-established Hot 100. AstrooKai (Talk) 11:10, 13 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Strings as a Single

[edit]

Can I ask why Strings is not considered as a Single when both Golden Arrow and Salamin, Salamin are? All 3 of them are comeback singles released as lead tracks together with their specific albums and EP.

Up until recently, BINI has followed a format of releasing albums:

1. They release 2 singles ahead of the album. For Born to Win, it's Born to Win and Kapit Lang. For Feel Good, it's Lagi and I Feel Good. For Talaarawan, it's Karera and Pantropiko.

2. They release the comeback single/lead single/main track/key track on DSPs along with the other songs at 12 MN. They also release the lyric videos in ABS-CBN Star Music's YouTube channel. For this reason, these tracks doesn't have their own cover art—they bear the cover art of their respective albums. (The one used in the Wikipedia page of SS is an edited art done by cropping out the cover of the music video—the official promotion materials looks the same but they never cut the pink heart inside and it comes in variety.)

3. They release the MVs of the comeback singles on their YouTube channel on the same date but during the night.

So if GA and SS are considered singles, why is Strings not considered as one? Please tell me if I miss a criteria or something.

Hi, Babyronii!
Strings was not released as a standalone single. It came out with the Talaarawan EP on streaming platforms, not before it. Golden Arrow and Salamin, Salamin were issued separately ahead of their albums, which makes them official singles. It served as the lead track and had its own music video, but since it was not distributed separately or promoted as a single by Star Music. It is not classified as one in technical terms. Although, Strings could potentially create an article however ABS-CBN, and MYX is primary source, it needed a secondary sources with coverage per NSONG. Just to clarify, "Salamin, Salamin" was not released as a standalone single; it was included as part of Talaarawan, which was released on March 8, 2025. However, several news sources began referring to "Salamin, Salamin" as a single, likely because it was promoted as the EP's "lead single" and had an accompanying music video. Best regards, AstrooKai (Talk) 01:24, 14 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Also, "Strings" is not part of Talaarawan. It's part of the Feel Good album. Best regards, AstrooKai (Talk) 01:24, 14 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Golden Arrow and Salamin, Salamin were not officially released ahead of time. They were released along with it's respective album.
You can actually check it on their Spotify releases. If a song has its own tab, it was released ahead of time.  babyronii  💬 02:58, 14 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

And this is also the case with "Strings". It wasn't released as a single, but was released as track for Feel Good. Best regards, AstrooKai (Talk) 05:45, 14 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Please, verify if I interpreted it correctly.

Announcements from BINI_ph's social media accounts, their Spotify and Apple Music releases showing "Feel Good" and "Strings" being simultaneously released, and ABS-CBN's articles stating the same thing are considered primary sources.

We need to find secondary sources that proves and interprets these claims. So we just need to find articles that talk about how "Strings" is a comeback single and it was released simultaneously with the "Feel Good" album, and it has to be from someone who is not directly related to their management or company, right?

I am also not talking about creating a separate Wikipedia article for Strings but for it to be included in their Singles discography.  babyronii  💬 09:58, 14 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
There's no other sources referring to "Strings" as a single. All sources referring now "Strings" as part of the debut album Feel Good. ROY is WAR Talk! 01:06, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Bloomagiliw, Borgenland, AdobongPogi any thoughts here? ROY is WAR Talk! 11:14, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
It's a single. Bloomagiliw (talk) 12:02, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi, fellows! What I can say is that so CONFUSING happen since ABS-CBN source (1) mention as a "single", while MYX Global source (2) It appears that is not officially released as a single on its own, and THINKING is a kind of promo work since the other source context mention only about the music video, it means the track did have a music video. Having a music video doesn't always equate to being a "single" by record labels definition because sometimes they choose which their tracks to push as singles (before or after album launch) based on what they think or decision. So for my self perspective "Strings" didnt get that extra push as single because the focus was on other songs (e.g. "I Feel Good" and "Lagi"). AdobongPogi masarap 🍛 15:21, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
The Myx Global article you linked quite literally describes "Strings" as a comeback single in the very first sentence. It's like Dagundong by Alamat, they released a new single + MV along with the full album. Bloomagiliw (talk) 15:48, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Also, they promoted "Strings" a lot. Just because "Lagi" and "I Feel Good" were more successful, doesn't mean they didn't promote "Strings" a lot. Bloomagiliw (talk) 15:50, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
