Is this formula really correct?

${\text{Metabolisable Energy}}=\left({\text{Gross Energy in Food}}\right)-\left({\text{Energy lost in Foods, Secretions and Gases}}\right){\text{Urine}}.$ I understand that the term "Energy lost..." is multiplied by "Urine".
