The information in this article seems to be taken from an interview with James Chance which appears in "Totally Wired: Post-punk Interviews and Overviews" by Simon Reynolds.

There are a few valuable sources about Phillips that can be used to supplement this article. These include the books Art After Midnight, Making Tracks:The Rise of Blondie and Platinum Blonde, a biography about Debbie Harry. Art After Midnight is particularly informative. Phillips also appeared in the Punk magazine fumetti The Legend of Nick Detroit with Debbie Harry and Richard Hell and in a Murjani jeans commercial with Debbie Harry and James Chance. She also helped Debbie Harry with clothing designs, such as the dress Harry wore on the cover of Plastic Letters which was based on a Phillips' design. In May, 1981 a benefit was held for Phillips at Bonds International Casino in NYC that featured members of Blondie, Chic, The Funky Four Plus One More, Chance and Richard Hell. She was an interesting person.Alexhaniha (talk) 20:22, 12 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
