Removal of content and privacy of names

Hello, I was looking at the changes to this article and was wondering about the removal of the relationship section and wondering about the reason for that.

According to Wikipedia "the names of any immediate, former, or significant family members or any significant relationship of the subject of a BLP may be part of an article, if reliably sourced, subject to editorial discretion that such information is relevant to a reader's complete understanding of the subject. Names of family members who are not also notable public figures must be removed from an article if they are not properly sourced."

I read the publicly available article from the Globe and Mail available here and wouldn't a cross-border marriage influenced by politics and geography be relevant to a political geographer? I think it's a really sweet and relevant article. CardboardWolf (talk) 14:03, 26 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
