[edit]I tried to rewrite it, but I am not clear about whether
- the Temple of Original Simplicity near Boston, Massachusetts
- the New England Center of Tao, an
- the Center of Traditional Taoist Studies located in Weston, Massachusetts
are the same institution. I wrote it with them as separate, but it would be easy to fix.DGG 00:35, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Availability of Boston Globe coverage
[edit]Hello,
For clarity, the Boston Sunday Globe articles referenced above are available through the Boston Globe archive and standard U.S. newspaper archives commonly used by Wikipedia editors.

Clarification of related institutions
[edit]Hello,
Based on a review of available documentation and published sources, I believe this helps clarify the situation.
What was originally called the New England Center of Tao later changed its name to the Center of Traditional Taoist Studies. The name change was a decision made by the board, reflecting a shift from a more locally focused teaching center to a broader educational mission that included students and activities beyond New England.
The Center functions as the educational and organizational body, while the Temple of Original Simplicity serves as the associated religious site. Both have operated as part of the same institution.
The organization has operated as a U.S. nonprofit and holds 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Documentation for both the name change and nonprofit status exists and can be provided if needed.
Thank you. ~2025-40184-04 (talk) 23:01, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
Question about photo removal and sources
[edit]Hello,
I noticed that a photo was previously removed from the article and wanted to ask if you could clarify the reason. I’d like to better understand the guidelines so I can avoid similar issues in future edits.
I’ve also been working on improving sourcing in the article and recently added a published source ("The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Taoism" by Brandon Toropov and Chad Hansen) to the biography section. It appears to contain relevant information about both Alex Anatole and the Center of Traditional Taoist Studies.
Would it be appropriate to use this source in the "Temple of Original Simplicity" section as well?
Thank you for your guidance. Lianvo (talk) 19:12, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
