In the meanwhile: it’s a good policy to have a survey of dates from sources in articles about time periods; for smaller mentions (ex. at the start of “Atenism under Akhenaten” here: “Amenhotep IV, the son of Amenhotep III, was crowned king c. 1353 BC.”) circa is your best friend

I have just spent an hour trying to find verification of the claims made in the section about "the Serpent of Akhmim" as an Islamic angel and Christian demon but the only references to it are from the changes made to this page in 2005.
A request for a citation had been made in 2012 but there does not seem to have been any form of response and the entire passage looks vague and dubious and detracts from the historicity of the rest of the article.
Should a reliable reference for these claims be found and the names of the "supposed" Islamic saint specified then the original could be restored and amended to include a few of the missing details.
"Akhmim once had a reputation as being home of the greatest magicians in Egypt. A supernatural being that was said to dwell there, the Serpent of Akhmim, was supposedly regarded as an angel by Muslims and as an incarnation of the demon Asmodeus by Christians.[citation needed]"
It is unclear whether the "greatest" magician (no name given) and the supernatural being are in any way connected or whether they are meant to be the same person. The mention of the Muslim angel is equally vague
