[edit]I think the line 'Schumacher piled on the pressure' is subjective opinion and is not universally agreed as fact. It is contended that Schumacher never intended to overtake Hakkinen as this would gift Irvine the title. 109.148.69.38 (talk) 17:03, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- You're suggesting that Schumacher would rather a rival team claim the drivers title? This sounds like a fringe theory, and therefore should not be considered. If it isn't a fringe theory, I would like to see some sources that argue this.

Michael Schumacher GBR Race Result
[edit]Hi, M Schumacher is listed in the results for the GBR race as a DNS (Did Not Start) but he started the race but Did Not Finish (DNF) due to an accident. The race was stopped at that time. M Schumacher did not take the restart of the race. Surely the result for M Schumacher should be a DNF. Thanks Mickey Smiths (talk) 21:09, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
- At the time, when a race was red flagged before two laps were completed the start attemp was declared null and void and a full new start for the original full distance was ordered. So Schumacher’s accident happened during a race segment that was not classified and he did not take the start that was actually classified. Tvx1 00:46, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
