UK driver nationality
[edit]There have been several discussions of this topic - on each occasion it has been discussed that I can find, the conclusion has been that the correct approach is to identify UK drivers as such, and not by their individual nationalities (English/Scottish/Welsh and Northern Irish). This is what the FIA do and what is done at the podium ceremony for each race.
Constructors' Championship
[edit]I don't really think that only the championship winner car is important for the Constructors' Championship to be shown. Articles like the 1994 or the 1995 season, where the fourth, or even the fifth placed car is shown as well are a bit too much, I agree, but the top 3 is essential to be shown to give the reader a view of the season's front runners. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sztyepan (talk • contribs) 11:02, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
- I've added images of the second-placed Ferrari and third-placed Benetton. I'm not super-happy with the Benetton image, but I think it's the best of those available at Commons. DH85868993 (talk) 09:45, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
- I really don't see how flooding that section with pictures is improving the article in any way. On smaller screens it results in a stack of pictures with the the WCC table chucked underneath. We don't have the habit of the putting pictures of the WCC top three next to the WCC tables, so why should we make an exception here when the WCC that year wasn't particularly close.Tvx1 12:41, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
Weight conversion discrepancy
[edit]Under the 'Regulation Changes' section, there's a part that says:
"The minimum weight (with driver) was raised from 595 kg (1,312 lb) to 600 kg (1,300 lb)."
It seems there is a problem with the automatic unit conversion, as 600 kg should be around 1,322 lb. Ogryn535 (talk) 02:44, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- Indeed. I can’t see anything causing this here, so you’ll need to raise this on the talk page for the template. Tvx1 10:46, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
Fixed. The {{convert}} for "600kg" just needed to have the precision specified. DH85868993 (talk) 12:07, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
