Rajeev Krishna (born 26 June 1969[1]) is a 1991 batch Indian Police Service officer (IPS) from Uttar Pradesh Cadre and he serving as the Director general of the Uttar Pradesh Police since May 31 2025.[1][2][3]
Early life
[edit]Krishna was the born on 26 June 1969 in the family of H.K Mittal in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Delhi and his father was the chief engineer at the Irrigation department.[3]
Education
[edit]Rajeev Krishna complete his primary education at their hometown then he moved to Uttarakhand to study for a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology ,Roorkee from 1985 to 1989.[4]
Personal life
[edit]Krishna was married to meenakshi Singh in 1996 in Police Mess in Lucknow and he has two sons.[5]
Career
[edit]In 2007, Krishna was the first IPS officer who were appointed as the Director Inspector general of Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (UPATS) after the formation in August 2007.[6][7]
