Mullah Hebat Khan (died 22 September 2025) was an Afghan Taliban commander reported to have been killed during an ambush in Baghlan Province.[1]
Biography
[edit]Little is publicly known about his early life, including his date of birth, place of birth, education, or early military career. He is reported in some sources to have used the alias Mullah Sangeen.
Military activity
[edit]According to statements attributed to the National Resistance Front (NRF), Hebat Khan served as a commander within the Taliban's rapid reaction forces operating in northern Afghanistan, particularly in Takhar and surrounding provinces.
Death
[edit]On 22 September 2025, NRF sources claimed that its fighters ambushed a Taliban vehicle in Baghlan-e-Markazi District, killing Hebat Khan and three accompanying fighters. Independent confirmation of the incident and Taliban official acknowledgment were not publicly available at the time of reporting.[1]
