HD 208177 is a binary star system in the equatorial constellation of Aquarius. They are faintly visible to the naked eye with an apparent magnitude of 6.20.[3] The pair have an angular separation of 144 and the companion is of 15th magnitude.[9]

The primary component is a main-sequence star with a stellar classification of F6/7V.[6] It has an estimated 163%[9] of the Sun's mass and is about 1.7 billion years old[11] The companion is only 0.32 M.[9]
