GoodPop is an American frozen novelty and confectionery company headquartered in Austin, Texas.[1] It is a Certified B Corporation.[2] The company produces fruit pops, shelf-stable freezer pops, and dairy and non-dairy frozen desserts.[3] GoodPop was founded in 2009 by then University of Texas student Daniel Goetz.[4]

History

[edit source]

GoodPop began selling its products at farmers markets in Austin in 2009.[5]

GoodPop products have been certified by The Non-GMO Project since 2014; the company states it was the first frozen novelty brand to achieve the certification.[6]

Products

[edit source]

GoodPop's products are made with fruit juice, no added sugar, and plant-based ingredients, in addition to non-dairy and dairy-based frozen desserts.[7] Its products are made with organic or non-GMO ingredients and contain 150 calories or less per serving.[8] GoodPop products are sold in more than 20 flavors at retailers including Whole Foods, Sprouts, Publix, Walmart, Kroger, and Costco.[9]

In 2025, GoodPop introduced Electrolyte Freezer Pops, shelf-stable pops made with fruit juice and added electrolytes with no added sugar. In 2026, the company launched Fruit Sours, a line of sour frozen fruit pops with a patent-pending candy coating.[9]

In June 2025, a TikTok video posted by content creator Eli McCann about his husband's enthusiasm for the company's Watermelon Pop received more than two million likes. GoodPop subsequently entered a paid brand partnership with McCann; the campaign was covered by Ad Age as an example of a brand responding to unprompted social media attention.[10]

Social impact initiatives

[edit source]

GoodPop operates a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Pledge Good Foundation, which supports causes including equity and inclusion, the environment, food security, and animal rights.[11][12]

In 2022, GoodPop and the Pledge Good Foundation said they had donated 1.5 million meals in the United States through their partner Feeding America.[13]

GoodPop is a sponsor of the United States chapter of Good Deeds Day, an international volunteering initiative held annually in April.[14]

In April 2023, GoodPop received Plastic Neutral Certification from 4ocean, an ocean cleanup organization, which the company describes as the first such certification granted to a food brand. GoodPop states the partnership has offset more than 500,000 pounds of plastic.[15]

In July 2025, GoodPop co-founded the Good Food Collective, a coalition of more than 25 food brands, organizations, and nutrition experts describing its focus as transparency in the food industry; founding members included LesserEvil, Quinn, and the branding agency Interact. The coalition submitted a formal comment to the FDA's proposed rulemaking on front-of-package nutrition labeling before the public comment period closed on July 15, 2025.[16]
