Draft:Wynd (comic)
Wynd is a comic book series written James Tynion IV and illustrated by Michael Dialynas. It consists of four limited series published by BOOM! Studios from 2021 to 2026, which have been collected in five graphic novel volumes. It was nominated for an Eisner Award as well as multiple GLAAD Media Awards.
Plot
[edit]Wynd, a young boy whose magical ancestry gives him pointy ears, lives in Pipetown, where those with magical heritage are killed.
Release
[edit]The series was originally announced in January 2020 as a graphic novel trilogy.[1]
It consists of four mini series:
The Flight of the Prince
The Secret of the Wings
The Throne in the Sky
The Power of Blood
Each miniseries has been collected into a graphic novel, with the Power of Blood being divided into two volumes, the last of which is titled The Way of the World.
In 2025, it was announced that the series would be rereleased as a vertical scroll webcomic on Webtoon, which launched in January 2026. The comic gained over ten thousand subscribers with a week of its debut.[2]
