Sadraddin Aghjayev is an Azerbaijani media manager and commentator who works in the field of business journalism and communications. He is known mainly for his role as the Head of the Azerbaijan Bureau of Business Media Georgia (BMG), a Georgian business news platform that expanded its work into Azerbaijan in 2024.[1] His appointment and the launch of the bureau were covered by Georgian media outlets.[2]
Aghjayev also runs the Azerbaijani analytical website FinFly.News, where he publishes commentary on economic topics and business developments in the region.[3]
Early life and education
[edit]Aghjayev was born in Azerbaijan. He lived in Moscow for many years, from 2000 until 2017, where he completed both secondary school and university studies. He graduated from the Moscow Financial and Law University (MFUA) with a degree in Jurisprudence (Civil Law).
In 2021, he began studying at the University of London and finished an MBA program in Marketing and Public Relations in 2023.
After returning to Baku in late 2017, he served in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces between 2018 and 2019.
Career

[edit]In 2024, Aghjayev became the Head of the Azerbaijan Bureau of Business Media Georgia. His work with BMG has been mentioned in Georgian media reports and interviews related to the bureau’s activities.[4]
Bank VTB (Azerbaijan)
[edit]Between 2023 and 2026, Aghjayev worked in the communications department of Bank VTB (Azerbaijan). His participation in public events connected to the bank was noted by local media outlets.[5][6]
