Kliszewicz (biał. Клішавічы, rus. Клишевичи)

the noble family of the Jastrzębiec coat of arms, dating back to the early 15th century.

Kliszewicz has been mentioned in Poland since the 15th century, specifically in the Sanock region, near the Polish-Hungarian border. In 1402, King Władysław II Jagiello granted lands along the San River to three brothers—Yuri, Zanko, and Dmytro of Ulich—in exchange for military service.

Kliszewicz, son of Vasil, grandson of one of those original brothers, belonged to the Kiełbowicz clan.

The first documented Kliszewicz was Grits Kliszewicz in 1469, a descendant of one of the original brothers. Kliszewicz's son.

Gryts Kliszewicz, who in 1469 sold his third of Dobra to the Sanock starost, Mikołaj Pienancek.
