Dasama (Odia: ଦଶମ) is a 2024 Odia coming-of-age romantic drama directed by Raja D. The film revolves around a group of Class 10 students and captures their friendship, first love, school memories, and the emotional transition from adolescence to adulthood.[1][2][3]
Plot
[edit]"Dasama" is set in a small, close-knit village in Odisha and follows the lives of a group of friends during their tenth-grade year. The film captures the innocence, friendship, and youthful exuberance of their school days, seamlessly weaving between their past and present. It explores universal themes of teenage angst, first love, and the joys and trials of adolescence. The movie stands out for its authentic portrayal of everyday life in a village, devoid of the typical glitz and glamour of mainstream cinema, and is further distinguished as Odisha's first musical film.[1][2][3]
