Comment: This seems a few weeks WP:TOOSOON, since by the looks of it they have not put in any appearances for Chelsea yet. The BBC source is good, so as soon as there is a Chelsea playing record then this draft should need a quick tidy up and should be ready then. Calvin Diakite (born 7 April 2009) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Chelsea. He has represented the England national under-17 football team.[1]
Club career

[edit]Diakite began playing football with grassroots club Dynamo Catford before joining Chelsea's academy at under-11 level. He initially played as a midfielder before moving into defence.[2]
Chelsea
[edit]Diakite joined Chelsea's academy at under-11 level and progressed through the club's youth system. During the 2025–26 season, he became a regular for the club's under-18 side, also making appearances for the under-21 team and in the UEFA Youth League. In April 2026, he signed his first professional contract with Chelsea[3][4][5]. In July 2026, Diakite was included in Chelsea's first-team squad for the club's pre-season tour of Australia and Asia under head coach Xabi Alonso.[6][7]
International career
[edit]Diakite has represented the England national under-17 football team. He scored the winning goal on his debut against Israel in September 2025 and captained the team against the Faroe Islands in March 2026.[8]
