It is a subsidiary of Corgi Insurance Services, a Y Combinator-backed insurance technology company based in San Francisco.[2][3] The company's entities include Beagle Technologies Inc. and Beagle Labs Inc.[4]
History
[edit]Beagle operates as a subsidiary of Corgi Insurance Services, which participated in Y Combinator's Summer 2024 batch.[2] In August 2025, the company named Johnny Hanna as president.[2] As of 2026, the company lists Anthony D'Angelo as chief executive officer, Bryce Hase as chief operating officer, Jad Ashkar as chief technology officer, and Greg Knox as chief strategy officer.[1] Beagle lists offices in San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, New York City, Atlanta, and Salt Lake City.[1][4] As of May 2026, parent company Corgi was valued at $2.6 billion following a $106 million Series B1 round led by TCV.[3][5] In July 2026, TechCrunch reported that Corgi had raised a further round at a $4 billion valuation, citing sources; the amount was not disclosed and the company declined to comment.[6]
Beagle's renters insurance book is backed by YRIG Risk Retention Group.[7]
Products and services
[edit]Beagle provides renters insurance compliance services to property managers, including automated verification of tenant insurance policies, tenant legal liability waiver programs, and resident benefits packages.[7][4] The company states that it uses artificial intelligence to identify gaps in tenant coverage.[4]
According to court filings reported in 2026, more than 80 percent of Beagle's business ran through customers using the AppFolio property management platform.[7]
