Anthesis Group is a privately owned international sustainability consultancy, with offices in Europe, North America, South America, Australasia, Africa and Asia. The company provides environmental, health, safety, risk, and social consulting services and sustainability-related services.
History

[edit]Anthesis was established in London, UK in 2013. In the same year, the company acquired the UK-based footprinting company Best Foot Forward.[1].
In 2014, Anthesis acquired four other companies; the German environmental, health and safety (EHS) service provider UMR[2], UK-based sustainable chemistry experts Caleb[3], the sustainability strategy house SecondNature[4], and the North England-based sustainability communications company M4C[5].
In 2015, Anthesis acquired leading sustainable resource and supply chain specialists LRS and the Middle Eastern EHS specialists TEP[6].
In 2016, Anthesis made 3 further acquisitions: data visualisation, reporting and disclosure company Mosaic Sustainability, the Swedish Environmental Economics company Enveco, and UK-based energy and carbon management company Sustain[7].
In 2019, Anthesis acquired sustainable apparel advisors MADE-BY[8], the innovation consultancy Goodbrand[9], and the Barcelona-based sustainability agency Lavola[10].
In 2021, Anthesis acquired the Canadian agri-food consultancy Provision Coalition[11]. In the same year, Anthesis officially became a B Corp[12].
In 2022, Anthesis made two further acquisitions, the Netherlands and South African-based emissions analysis, reduction and offsetting group Climate Neutral Group[13], as well as the UK based energy consultancy Padd Energy[14]
