Ananthu S is an Indian entrepreneur, educator and film producer. He is the founder and chief executive officer of Xylem Learning, an education company based in Kerala.[1]
Education and early career
[edit]Ananthu S is an MBBS graduate who became involved in teaching while studying medicine. He worked with coaching institutions before establishing Xylem Learning.[2][3]
Career

[edit]Ananthu S founded Xylem Learning, a Kerala-based education company that provides learning programmes and resources for students preparing for competitive examinations.[1]
In June 2023, Physics Wallah announced a strategic partnership with Xylem Learning involving an investment of ₹500 crore over three years. The investment was described as part of Physics Wallah's expansion into southern India, with Ananthu S identified as Xylem Learning's founder and CEO.[1][3]
In December 2025, Physics Wallah increased its stake in Xylem Learning to 77.27% through an additional investment of ₹122.9 crore. The investment was part of an agreement announced in 2023 to acquire Xylem in multiple stages.[4]
Film production
[edit]In 2025, Ananthu S entered Malayalam film production through the launch of Dr Ananthu Entertainments.[5]
His first announced film production was Athiradi, a Malayalam film directed by Arun Anirudhan and produced by Ananthu S and Basil Joseph. The film was produced under the banners of Dr Ananthu Entertainments and Basil Joseph Entertainment.[6][7]
In October 2025, Dr Ananthu Entertainments announced a feature film in collaboration with Karikku Studios, with Karikku founder Nikhil Prasad as director. The project subsequently commenced production in April 2026.[8][9]
